Differences diligently delivered

It’s been a while, I know… But Annie and I have something a little different for you. We spent a little time messing around (ah, I got my hopes up with that line) with a microphone so that we could bring you an audio blog.

It’s also different because rather than me going on about how mean my girlfriend is, Annie will tell you a tall tale about me.

I was going to do more with the audio and actually try to edit it and cut it up into individual tracks, but I’m a busy & lazy man. If we do another audio blog, I’ll try to put in some more work, I swear.

Also, please excuse my deep voice. I suggest you lower the volume of your subwoofers or risk permanent damage.

Holy crap, dude. Annie’s a pottymouth. But at least she sounds alright doing it. Some people just sound weird when they curse.

She swears a moderate amount, yeah. I bet I swear more than her.

As far as another audio download, we’ll see about that. We did record some other “intros” already. We just need a proper topic, I guess. Or not—I have some more audio of her beating me.

Before we recorded this, I was planning to post up some videos I had recorded before (I already have it encoded with cool “MyMeanGirl.com” text over the video and everything).

I was hoping to buy a new camcorder soon and record more, but it looks like I’m going to have to hold off on buying any electronics (because of my iPod situation)

I don’t know if you remember me dude, but you commented once or twice on my site. Anyways, I think that your sites are awesome and this site is funny as hell.

Haha, as I’m writing this, La Bella’s taking up half of the spots on the “recent comments” list. That makes me happy—I wish more people took the time to post.

c.s. collins: Yeah, I remember. I guess Annie is kinda hot, sorta… haha.

I like her voice, too. It was one of the first things I told her.

Now, for the exclusive info that’s only available in the comments…

We’ve recorded some new audio, already. We’ll see how long it takes to get it on the website. I don’t think I’ll need to put any sound effects in this one.

Plus, we have a new category of posts that are going to be on the website soon…

The podcast was excellent. When I first heard Annie talk I thought “there’s no way she’s as mean as Chris tries to make her sound”. But then I hear over the course of the podcast “Hey, come back here!” and “Where are you going?!” MyMeanGirl strikes again. The sound effects of you getting beat up were great.

Ray: Expect lots of “Where are you going?!” in any type of recordings, haha. The audio is a good representation of what it’s like to be around us.

The recordings we did for the next one sound kind of weird. There’s some weird clicking/popping noise on one recording and some static in the other. We’re cheap, buy us some more professional equipment, haha.

Tyler: We both call each other jerks (ALL the time, actually).

I mean, in the sense that you guys have a GREAT and FUN relationship.
That’s very important. To be able to have fun and laugh and be goofy and silly…

My husband and I act like that sometimes… really we do!

He wouldn’t do an audioblog…he’d be all stiff like, “What do I say next babe..?”

Just leave him in front of the microphone until he starts to loosen up, haha. But yeah, some people just can’t be themselves when they’re being recorded. I really think the audio is a good representation of what it would be like to spy on us (except for the fact that we’re sort of talking to you).

In my spare time, I’m trying my best to clean up the sound quality of the audio we recorded a few days ago. Can’t give you an exact date, though. I’m trying to balance all the content (I haven’t even debuted that new blog category, yet—and I have another section in mind).

I think I’ll take the time to actually figure out how to get an official podcast going soon. I just need to figure out how to create the feeds and all that (I know about FeedBurner’s automatic thing, but I don’t think it would play well with how this site is set up).

I really need to abridge my damn comments before I post them…
